Even for
straight-forward sequences, such as in production processes,
the bus connection is worthwhile. The actuator sensor
interface, AS-i for short, can supply 31 stations
simultaneously with up to 248 binary instructions. AS-I is
the ideal bus connection for mechanical engineering. Input
and output data being transmitted in the particularly short
time of only 5 ms means that, for example, several motors
can be started at exactly the same time (e.g. in material
handling). |
