PS4 PLCs come with an RS232 interface for programming access. This can be linked to the CoBox in order to implement a connection to Ethernet. The CoBox in this case is used as a kind of converter between the RS232 and the 10/100 Mbit Ethernet, thus considerably increasing the useful communication options of the PS4 controllers.

The very simple data access options already available can now be used over long distances and for new types of applications. Initial expenditure is very small since the required infrastructure is often already in place.
