The B-7V and B-20V are designed for those applications where the axis of the shaft may not be horizontal. These brakes will operate with the axis vertical, horizontal, or at any angle you require. Instead of the cylindrical design of other magnetic particle brakes, these units have a disk shaped rotor. The space between the rotor and two sides is filled with the magnetic particles so the unit can be operated in any orientation. Applications include tensioning of film rolls
on vertical shafts, packaging machines, and machine tools.
